Cross Cultural Communication / Management

Program Characteristic

Master the skills for cross-cultural communication in order to build trust with people from different backgrounds

This program is focused on communication: those skills related to the social capital of the Global Mindset’s three capitals. In order to achieve positive results in a culturally diverse environment, we must establish smooth communication with foreign superiors, subordinates, peers, and other counterparts. Having completed this program, you acquire the minimum-required knowledge, perspectives and skills for effective communication with people from different cultural backgrounds.

Through a hands-on approach, acquire practical knowledge and skills that will enable you to maximize results in cross-cultural situations.

In order to communicate effectively, knowledge alone is not enough; that is why we emphasise experiential learning, in which the trainees share their ideas, discuss, and participate in role-plays. The ability to adapt to people from diverse cultural backgrounds is an important quality of cross-cultural communication; we learn how to master this ability through hands-on practice. Later, when you find yourself in a cross-cultural situation, you will be able to draw on this hands-on practice and implement the desired communication style.

Learn how to analyze and resolve cross-cultural differences by using eight scales

Analyze cultural differences with the eight scales of the Culture Map, grasp the characteristics of each individual culture, and visualize the factors underlining cross-cultural differences. By using the eight scales you will not only be able to understand cultural differences objectively, but also to mitigate cultural tensions in a calm, rational way. This is an effective tool for improving your cross-cultural competence.
